Business Types
We classify Solution Provider into 4 distinct types:
-
Business - any commercial activity;
-
Not for Profit - organizations that do not operate to generate profit;
-
Registered Charity - organizations that are a registered charity and operate to promote the greater good;
-
Government - organization chartered to make and enforce rules, law and regulation.
What is the difference between a Registered Charity and a Not-for-Profit?
Every Registered Charity needs to be a Not-for-Profit, but not every Not-for-Profit needs to be a Registered Charity.
A Not-for-Profit is an organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals.
