What is the Boost Foundation?
The Boost Foundation Limited is a charitable organisation that forms part of the greater corporate structure of Boost Juice Bars. The Foundation is permitted by deed to receive funds and donations from external parties. These funds must then be distributed out to eligible organisations at the discretion of the Foundation.
Various fundraising initiatives will be conducted by Boost Juice in the course of business that will endeavour to raise funds that will then be donated to the Boost Foundation. Such initiatives will include contributions from the sale of bottled water and other Boost items.
Boost Foundation’s Inaugural Beneficiary – The Kokoda Challenge Youth Program
We are proud to announce our affiliation with the Kokoda Challenge Youth Program (KCYP). The KCYP is an experiential learning program offering young people the opportunity to realise their full potential and gain a brighter future for themselves and their families. The KCYP is about providing the opportunity for young people to learn the skills and qualities that matter in life; including discipline, tolerance, self worth, team work, purpose and leadership.
The program uses the Spirit of Kokoda to teach the younger generation the value of endurance, courage, sacrifice and mateship.
Why have Boost Juice and the Kokoda Challenge Youth Program partnered together?
As proud Australian organisations with a focus on making a difference to young lives in a unique and highly engaging way, the synergies shared between Boost Juice and the KCYP make for an obvious partnership.
What does this mean and what’s ahead?
The Boost Foundation is proud to be the major sponsor of the 2010 Kokoda Challenge (www.kokodachallenge.com) which is the major fundraising event for the KCYP. In October 2010 the Boost Foundation, in partnership with the KYCP, will be hosting the inaugural Mini Kokoda Challenge in Melbourne as the first major fundraising event for the Foundation. In addition, 10c from each bottle of Mt Franklin water sold at Boost over the next 12 months will be donated to the KCYP.
