Donna Hay
An Australian-based food stylist, author and magazine editor
She is also the author of 14 bestselling cookbooks including Off the Shelf, Modern Classics (Books 1 and 2), The Instant Cook, Christmas and Instant Entertaining. Selling over 3 million copies worldwide, her books are known for their simple recipes and sbeautiful photography. She was named one of the ‘Magnificent Seven' cookbook authors by the judges of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in January 2007.
She has also appeared many times as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia, which airs on Network Ten.
In March 2011, Hay's first television series, fast, fresh, simple., launched on The LifeStyle Channel. fast, fresh, simple. is a 13-part series that features many of the recipes from her book of the same name. It was filmed in the donna hay studio and on location in Sydney.
Hay is the editor-in-chief of Donna Hay Magazine, a bi-monthly magazine launched in 2001. She also has her own homewares range: Donna Hay Home, her own store, Donna Hay General Store, in Woollahra, and a weekly column published in News Limited newspapers.
Donna will launch a range of homewares in partnership with Royal Doulton in mid-2011.
Donna lives with her husband, Bill, and two sons, Angus and Tom.

It’s also here that Donna’s vision for her beautiful homewares and food ranges are fine-tuned before the products find their way onto store shelves.

Every donna hay recipe is tested and photographed for Donna’s cookbooks, weekly national newspaper column and donna hay magazine at the studio. At donna hay, we’re firm believers that fresh is always best, so every dish is styled and photographed hot from the kitchen – we don’t use any sneaky tricks to make our recipes look beautiful, it’s all down to natural good looks. All donna hay publications are designed and written in-house by our editorial team in close collaboration with the kitchen team. And, if we’re lucky, that collaboration will sometimes happen over a delicious lunch cooked by Donna!
