Jamie Oliver

Sometimes known as The Naked Chef, Jamie Oliver is a British chef, restaurateur and media personality.


Oliver is known for his food-focused television shows, cookbooks and more recently his role in campaigning against the use of processed foods in national schools.

The Fifteen restaurants established by Jaime combine two of his ambitions: to open a top class restaurant and to give disadvantaged youngsters the chance to gain professional training that would set them up for an independent, inspired and productive life. In 2009 Jaime received the TED Prize (Technology Entertainment and Design), where he was awarded $100,000 and granted a "wish to change the world". His wish was to “...help to create a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food, inspire families to cook again and empower people everywhere to fight obesity.” This led Jamie to make a new series for American TV about food – how families eat, what kids get at school and why. He's started a Food Revolution: to get people all over America to reconnect with their food and change the way they eat.
